Environmental Progress founder Michael Shellenberger said on “Fox & Friends” that many Democrats have become “lost” and are afflicted with “Musk derangement syndrome.” Shellenberger marveled at how left-wing climate activists are now “opposing one of the main technologies to deal with climate change” by going after Tesla dealerships and charging stations.

MICHAEL SHELLENBERGER: The Democrats are really lost. I’ve never seen the left so lost as it is right now. I think it’s revealing its true colors that you have one of the main climate justice organizations leading these protests against the most important electric car manufacturer in the world. I think what it shows is that what would really upset them, is that Elon Musk has been cutting the government or, under the work of President Trump, has been cutting the budget for all of these pet projects that had nothing whatsoever to do with climate change or the environment. I mean, it was quite shocking. The so-called Inflation Reduction Act was spending billions of dollars on just frankly, graft and grift and kickbacks and all sorts of corrupt enterprises that have now been exposed. And so anybody that cares about climate change — that we need things like natural gas, nuclear power — those are things that the so-called climate justice movement opposes.
Indivisible, an organization founded by former Democratic congressional staffers, previously urged liberals to protest Musk’s actions, going so far as providing a “tool kit” with recommendations on how to “take the fight to Elon.” The manual details steps for planning and executing demonstrations at Tesla dealerships, showrooms and factories.

SHELLENBERGER: It’s really Musk derangement syndrome. We saw it afflicted Trump beforehand. They’ve really gone crazy over it. Remember, these are people that say that we have ten years to solve climate change or the world would come to an end. They then advocated the shutting down [of] nuclear plants, advocating the ending of natural gas production, even though that was what was the main thing, reducing carbon emissions. So it’s really never been about climate change. It’s always been about getting government money for various pet projects, often to do political work. … It’s the so-called sunshine movement. They really manipulated children and adolescents and teenagers in particular, to really become quite hysterical about climate change. But where are they now? What are they doing? Tesla car owners, dealerships and charging stations have been targeted nationwide in protest against electric carmaker CEO Elon Musk and his involvement with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which aims to slash wasteful spending and fraud within the federal government.
An Oregon Tesla dealership, located 10 miles south of Portland, was targeted by gunshots Thursday, damaging multiple cars and shattering windows. Earlier this month, a man was arrested after Molotov cocktails were thrown at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon.
In Massachusetts, several Tesla charging stations were set on fire where more than half a dozen chargers were damaged. And last week, the U.S. attorney’s office in Colorado charged 42-year-old Lucy Grace Nelson, also known as Justin Thomas Nelson, after police say they found a number of explosives and concerning messages at a Colorado Tesla dealership.
President Donald Trump promised he would pursue domestic terrorism charges against left-wing activists who target Tesla dealerships.

The theme for 2025 year’s GYD is “ACT: A Community Transformed,” is a call to action that goes beyond a simple slogan. According to General Conference youth leaders, the theme represents the church’s response to God’s Great Commission, which emphasizes that He is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9, NKJV).
Men and women of experience should understand that this is a time of especial danger for the young. Temptations surround them on every hand; and while it is easy work to float with the current, the strongest effort is required to press against the tide of evil. It is Satan’s studied effort to secure the youth in sin, for then he is more sure of the man. The enemy of souls is filled with intense hatred against every endeavor to influence the youth in the right direction. He hates everything which will give correct views of God and our Saviour, and his efforts are especially directed against all who are placed in a favorable position to receive light from heaven. He knows that any movement on their part to come in connection with God, will give them power to resist his devices. Those who are at ease in their sins, are safe under his banner. But as soon as efforts are made to break his power, his wrath is aroused, and he commences in earnest his work to thwart the purpose of God, if possible. CE 26.3

Who are the poor according to Pope Francis? THEY CAN’T BREATHE! ‘ The Poor and the fragility of the planet’
The environmental responsibility initiative calls for a clause requiring that the Swiss economy – including what it imports – “operates within the limits of the planet”.
While the exact scope of how this would be achieved is left open by the initiative text, it names six areas to be focussed on: climate, biodiversity, water consumption, land usage, atmospheric pollution, and the usage of pesticides.
The text also demands a “socially acceptable” implementation within 10 years of being voted on.
A total of 100,000 signatures are needed to force a public vote in the Swiss direct democracy system. As such, if federal authorities validate the 105,000 signatures, and if parliament doesn’t come up with a compromise that would convince the campaigners to withdraw the initiative, the population will vote on it.

Thousands of Seventh-day Adventist young people around the world will engage in service projects in their communities on March 15, 2025, as part of this year’s Global Youth Day (GYD).
The annual initiative, led by the youth ministries department of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, inspires young people to step out of their comfort zones and “Be the Sermon” by showing the love of Jesus through acts of kindness wherever they go.
Pope of the Poor Makes Big Impact in Africa!
“Our young people across Inter-America are excited to make a meaningful impact in their communities and cities with purpose and passion,” said Pastor Al Powell, youth ministries director for the Inter-American Division (IAD).
Global Youth Day activities planned across IAD’s 25 unions, or church regions, will include feeding and praying for individuals in homes, cities, and rural communities; cleaning and refurbishing parks; sharing messages of hope through social media and group texts; visiting the sick in hospitals, orphanages, and nursing homes; reaching out to those in prison; reconnecting with former church members; and more, explained Powell.
Global Youth Day also marks the beginning of Youth Week of Prayer across more than 24,000 churches and congregations in the IAD. During this week, young people will have the opportunity to actively preach from pulpits and lead small group ministries, Powell added.
“We are thrilled that once again, our young people will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in their own lives and in the lives of others,” Powell said. “This is your time to go and transform our communities with Jesus’ love.” In a social media video message to youth, Powell encouraged, “Find your friends, bring all your energy, and join us on March 15th. We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude.
The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones. 9T 11.1 – 9T 11.2
Aurimas Mockus finally made it to Australia, but not in the manner he imagined.
Pacific Ocean as part of a solo mission
Instead of triumphantly paddling in on the Kursis, the one-seater boat he’d been rowing for nearly five months across the Pacific Ocean as part of a solo mission from San Diego to Brisbane, he arrived in Sydney Harbour, relieved and alive, onboard a 16,000 tonne Australian naval ship.
Had it not been for Tropical Cyclone Alfred, he likely would have completed the 12,000km journey, and joined just a handful of people to have rowed across the Pacific solo.

But Alfred, which was directly in the path of the Lithuanian rower, thwarted him. Monster seas hit the Kursis, causing it to roll over and over again and again. For three days, he could not rest or sleep as he battled giant waves, in a boat constantly filling with seawater and all communication with his support team lost.

VHF radio, I have problems in my body

Mockus’s wife, Sonata Mockuviene, was at the naval base in Sydney waiting to greet her husband, whom she had not seen since he set off from San Diego on the US west coast in mid-October. She flew in to Australia from Lithuania on Thursday.
‘We were worried, it was too long’
After walking down the gangway from the ship, Mockus fell to his knees in front of his wife and, sobbing, buried his face in her stomach, as she hugged his head and kissed him.
Mockuviene said the rowing trip was not the craziest thing her husband had ever done, but it was the “longest crazy” he had attempted.
She was in almost daily contact with him throughout the journey, receiving a message or short phone call to hear that he was safe and well. But last week the communications stopped.

Souls dramatic rescue from cyclone-battered high seas
Then, at about 10pm on Friday 28 February, Mockus activated his emergency SOS beacon, transmitting a signal to a satellite that bounced to a 24/7 response centre in Canberra, and setting off a chain of action that would eventually lead to his dramatic rescue from cyclone-battered high seas by HMAS Choules.

Adding to the difficulty was the cyclone, which was producing winds in excess of 130km/h and heavy seas in excess of nine metres.
“Normally, we would be in a position where we could divert a vessel to assist us,” said Kevin McEvoy, the Amsa response centre manager. But TC Alfred meant that there were no ships in the area. “We didn’t have that luxury.”

Pope from Holy See Flying Over Sahara Changes AI
Mockus was eventually spotted by a Challenger aircraft.
Amsa was able to make radio contact with Mockus, using a Lithuanian translator, whom Mockus thanked emotionally on Friday. The team made six flights over three days, maintaining contact with him.
Mockus’s voice broke as he recounted seeing the aircraft above him for the first time.
“I thought I am not alone. But how he can help, I don’t know.”
HMAS Choules was deployed from Brisbane and Mockus was rescued on Monday.

“I don’t have words for this,” Mockus said, when asked how he felt to see the Royal Australian Navy vessel coming to his aid. “Just love.”

Their journey back to Sydney was fraught.
HMAS Choules encountered 12-metre seas and was pitched on 28 degree rolls – or a 90ft roll from one side to the other – causing some damage to equipment onboard the ship, including sending hospital beds through bulkheads, though no one was injured.
Mockus said that after being brought aboard HMAS Choules and being checked by medical staff – he has some cuts and bruises from being thrown around in the savage conditions, but nothing serious or life-threatening – he was just focused on getting horizontal.

Elation
An elated Darius Degutis, the Lithuanian ambassador to Australia, thanked the Australian government, defence force and people for the rescue.
“It’s a very special day, because we have Aurimas. We have a saying in Lithuanian language, sveikas ir gyvas, healthy and alive. He is healthy and alive.”
Degutis read aloud a letter from the foreign minister of Lithuania thanking Australia for rescuing the rower.
“Lithuania is profoundly grateful to your unwavering commitment to saving lives and we will always remember this extraordinary act of solidarity and cooperation,” the letter said.

For now, Mockus and his wife will spend some time in Australia before returning to their children in Lithuania.
Mockus said he had no regrets about the trip. But asked if he would be attempting it again, to see if he can complete the voyage, he laughed. “Not yet,” he said.
When Mockuviene was asked if she would approve of his husband trying again, she said it was out of her hands.
“I cannot keep him … at the house. It’s impossible.”

“Materials should contain age-appropriate biblical content, provide simple explanations that are easily understandable for elementary age students, and demonstrate how biblical figures and stories have influenced historical events and cultural practices in the United States,” the proposal says.
The request also stipulates the materials must include lessons about “key figures and events that have shaped the history and culture of Oklahoma.”

CANTON − A Stark and Wayne County pastor is accused of kidnapping and sexually abusing a minor during a camping trip last year in Ashland County.
Jesse Santos, 59, pastor of the Canton Seventh-day Adventist Church in Plain Township, was initially arrested by Stark County sheriff’s deputies on Feb. 15 and held at the jail in lieu of bond for the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, where the complaint originated.
Santos faces charges of kidnapping, a first-degree felony; two counts of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony; sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor, and endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor.
The charges allege Santos, who lives in Lake Township, took a 14-year-old girl against her will and had sexual contact with her on Sept. 17 and 18 while camping in Ashland County.
Ashland County Assistant District Attorney Matthew Metcalf informed Bates that DNA evidence was found to support the charges. He also said that members of the church have been trying to contact the victim and they shouldn’t be.
A jury trial has been set for May 20.
Santos, who also is connected with Seventh-day Adventist churches in Massillon and Wooster has not responded to prior requests for comment.

The UK announced punitive measures for Rwanda for its alleged support for M23, including suspending direct financial aid and stopping high-level attendance at events hosted by Rwanda’s government, as well as suspending defense cooperation.

Blue Origin’s next crewed flight mission aboard its tourism rocket, expected to lift off this spring, will carry an all-female crew to space.

CBS’ “60 Minutes” aired a friendly interview Sunday with local German officials as the country’s government initiates a nationwide crackdown on offensive speech.
CBS’ Sharyn Alfonsi juxtaposed how, even as the United States allows “hate-filled or toxic” speech, Germany is “trying to bring some civility to the worldwide web by policing it in a way most Americans could never imagine.”
Germany has been raiding the homes of those it believes to be making offensive statements online. CBS rode along with six armed officers as they raided a suspect’s home and seized his electronics.

Alfonsi interviewed state prosecutors, Dr. Matthäus Fink, Svenja Meininghaus and Frank-Michael Laue, who explained that such laws come as a surprise even to German citizens.
Fink said the typical reaction is that “The people are surprised that this is really illegal, to post these kind [sic] of words… They don’t think it was illegal. And they say, ‘No, that’s my free speech,’ And we say, ‘No, you have free speech as well, but it also has its limits.'”
Alfonsi summarized that German law “prohibits any speech that could incite hatred or is deemed insulting” and asked the prosecutors about how this works in practice.
“It’s illegal to display Nazi symbolism, a swastika, or deny the Holocaust, that’s clear,” Alfonsi said. “Is it a crime to insult somebody in public?”
“Yes,” the prosecutors agreed.
“And it’s a crime to insult them online as well?” Alfonsi asked.
“Yes,” Meininghaus answered.
“The fine could be even higher if you insult someone in the internet,” Fink explained. “Because [on the] internet, it stays there. If we are talking face to face, you insult me, I insult you, okay, finish. But if you’re [on] the internet, if I insult you or a politician-“
Alfonsi reported that German law also “prohibits the spread of malicious gossip, violent threats, and fake quotes.”
Meininghaus explained how re-posting or redistributing false information is a violation as well.
“In the days of re-posting, it is a crime as well,” the prosecutor said. “Because the reader can’t distinguish whether you just invented this or just re-posted it. That’s the same for us.”
“The punishment for breaking hate speech laws can include jail time for repeat offenders,” Alfonsi narrated. “But in most cases a judge levies a stiff fine and sometimes keeps their devices.”
Laue laughed as he described how “shocked” people are when their phones are taken. “It’s kind of a punishment if you lose your smartphone. It’s even worse than the fine you have to pay.”
“Because your whole life is typically on your phone now,” Alfonsi observed.
CBS noted that there are 16 units with teams of investigators that monitor hate speech across the country. Laue, who leads the lower-Saxony unit, said that his office alone typically handles about 3,500 cases per year.
