Donald Trump’s policies have been unprecedentedly pro-Russian.

Until this week, when the US pressed the Kremlin to commit to a ceasefire, the Trump administration had apparently asked for nothing from President Putin, while making a series of unilateral concessions on behalf of the Ukrainians: ruling out Nato membership for Ukraine, demanding that they make territorial concessions, voting in Russia’s favour at the UN over the invasion, resuming diplomatic relations with Moscow. In his confrontation with President Zelenskyy last month, Trump took offence at what he called Zelenskyy’s “tremendous hatred” for President Putin.

As a result of all this, and bolstered by long-standing rumours, many – including Tory MP Graham Stuart, Democrat senator Jeff Merkley and retired US intelligence officers – have asked whether Trump is a Russian “asset”.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3 : 16

What sort of rumours?

Trump was signed up in Moscow in 1987 under the codename “Krasnov”.

The most recent, in February, was spread by Alnur Mussayev, a former KGB officer from Kazakhstan. He said on Facebook that Trump was signed up in Moscow in 1987 under the codename “Krasnov”. Trump visited Moscow that year, and he would have been under KGB surveillance. There have also been claims from Czech defectors that Czechoslovakian intelligence mounted an extensive spying operation on Trump, together with “friends” from the KGB, after he married a Czech model, Ivana ZelnĆkovĆ”, in 1977.

The evidence for the first claim looks flimsy: Mussayev was not employed by the KGB in 1987, and never worked for the section of the organisation that recruited foreign spies. And there is certainly no evidence that either operation recruited Trump.

What other rumours are there?

The best-known were compiled in aĀ dossier by Christopher Steele, a former head of MI6’s Russia desk, who did research into Trump for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016. Steele was sufficiently alarmed that he took his findings to US intelligence. He found that the Russian government was “working to get Mr Trump elected” in that year’s presidential election, and that his associates had met Russian agents, possibly to conspire with them.

Trump engaging in depraved activities with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel šŸ© šŸØ

The first two claims were later verified by the US special counselĀ Robert Mueller’s report – but it did not prove a criminal conspiracy. Steele also recorded a series of “unverified and potentially unverifiable” claims. The most lurid was that the FSB (formerly the KGB) has footage of Trump engaging in depraved activities with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel in 2013, which it uses asĀ kompromat: blackmail material. There is no proof of this. Trump does, though, have a long financial relationship with Russia.

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.Revelation 17 : 2, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.Revelation 1 : 6

What financial relationship? Al Surveillance_Economy to Serve People and Planet

Trump tried to expand his property empire into Russia, with little success. But Russian money saved his floundering businesses in the 1990s, when bankruptcies had made him toxic to US lenders. A Russian-American mobster named Felix Sater poured cash into Trump’s businesses. “Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it. I will get all of Putin’s team to buy in on this,” Sater wrote in a 2015 email.

For years, the only bank that would lend to Trump’s property empire was Deutsche Bank, which was laterĀ fined record sumsĀ for laundering Russian money. It’s likely the Russian authorities were aware of all this. But, as his defenders point out, Russian investors weren’t unusual in the New York property world at that time. One former partner said: “The only people who were willing to [invest] were tasteless Russians, people who like the absurd, ostentatious gold-leaf lifestyle he has.”

Why is Trump so pro-Putin?

On a personal level, he likes Putin and he dislikes Zelenskyy. “Putin went through a hell of a lot with me,” Trump said during the Oval Office confrontation. This was a reference to Mueller’s report intoĀ Russian interference in the 2016 electionĀ (such as the hacking and leaking of Democratic emails) – a probe Trump always portrays as a “witch hunt” by his political opponents. When Trump met Putin in Helsinki in 2018, Putin denied Russian involvement. Trump broke with US intelligence’s conclusion that the Russians had interfered in the election by accepting this at face value; he has long held the unfounded belief that it was Ukraine doing the interference.

Another sore point is his first impeachment in 2019, which was triggered by the revelation that he had withheld arms from Ukraine in an effort to pressure Zelenskyy into investigating Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings in the country. (Zelenskyy resisted.) Because of this, Trump sees Ukraine, broadly, as a corrupt nation in league with his political enemies.

What other reasons does he have for supporting Putin?

Maga is premised on America First isolationism, which often tips over into support for Russia. Trump despises Biden and his policies, including support for Ukraine. But beyond that, Trump and Putin have much in common politically: both dislike the liberal international order because it limits their power; both, for different reasons, dislike Nato. Trump openly admires strongmen such as Putin; he has shown a Putin-style desire to “manage” elections. Finally, he is famously transactional, and feels that Russia has a great deal more to offer him and America than Ukraine.

So what really is going on?

There’s no evidence Trump is a Russian asset; but he clearly has a certain regard for Putin and Russia. He was echoing Russian propaganda long before he called Zelenskyy a dictator or claimed he started the war. In 2018, Trump defended Russia’s takeover of Crimea. In 2022, he called the invasion of Ukraine “genius”.

“I cannot believe he is a Russian agent, but he sure plays one on TV,” said Thomas L. Friedman in The New York Times. His loyalties will be tested in the coming weeks.

Environmental Progress founder Michael Shellenberger said on “Fox & Friends” that many Democrats have become “lost” and are afflicted with “Musk derangement syndrome.” Shellenberger marveled at how left-wing climate activists are now “opposing one of the main technologies to deal with climate change” by going after Tesla dealerships and charging stations.

Woman Arrested After Explosives Discovered At Tesla Dealership

MICHAEL SHELLENBERGER: The Democrats are really lost. I’ve never seen the left so lost as it is right now. I think it’s revealing its true colors that you have one of the main climate justice organizations leading these protests against the most important electric car manufacturer in the world. I think what it shows is that what would really upset them, is that Elon Musk has been cutting the government or, under the work of President Trump, has been cutting the budget for all of these pet projects that had nothing whatsoever to do with climate change or the environment. I mean, it was quite shocking. The so-called Inflation Reduction Act was spending billions of dollars on just frankly, graft and grift and kickbacks and all sorts of corrupt enterprises that have now been exposed. And so anybody that cares about climate change — that we need things like natural gas, nuclear power — those are things that the so-called climate justice movement opposes.

Indivisible, an organization founded by former Democratic congressional staffers, previously urged liberals to protest Musk’s actions, going so far as providing a “tool kit” with recommendations on how to “take the fight to Elon.” The manual details steps for planning and executing demonstrations at Tesla dealerships, showrooms and factories.

Liberals Said Evs Were Going To Save The Planet, Now They’re Lighting Them On Fire: Watters

The Environmental Progress founder argued that the idea of Democrats targeting Tesla dealerships demonstrates their hypocritical stance on climate change.

The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending….  They are working in blindness. They do not see that if a Protestant government sacrifices the principles that have made them a free, independent nation, and through legislation brings into the Constitution principles that will propagate papal falsehood and papal delusion, they are plunging into the Roman horrors of the Dark Ages.—The Review and Herald Extra, December 11, 1888. Musk derangement syndrome.

SHELLENBERGER: It’s really Musk derangement syndrome. We saw it afflicted Trump beforehand. They’ve really gone crazy over it. Remember, these are people that say that we have ten years to solve climate change or the world would come to an end. They then advocated the shutting down [of] nuclear plants, advocating the ending of natural gas production, even though that was what was the main thing, reducing carbon emissions. So it’s really never been about climate change. It’s always been about getting government money for various pet projects, often to do political work. … It’s the so-called sunshine movement. They really manipulated children and adolescents and teenagers in particular, to really become quite hysterical about climate change. But where are they now? What are they doing? They’re opposing one of the main technologies to deal with climate change.

Tesla car owners, dealerships and charging stations have been targeted nationwide in protest against electric carmaker CEO Elon Musk and his involvement with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which aims to slash wasteful spending and fraud within the federal government.

An Oregon Tesla dealership, located 10 miles south of Portland, was targeted by gunshots Thursday, damaging multiple cars and shattering windows. Earlier this month, a man was arrested after Molotov cocktails were thrown at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon.

In Massachusetts, several Tesla charging stations were set on fire where more than half a dozen chargers were damaged. And last week, the U.S. attorney’s office in Colorado charged 42-year-old Lucy Grace Nelson, also known as Justin Thomas Nelson, after police say they found a number of explosives and concerning messages at a Colorado Tesla dealership.

President Donald Trump promised he would pursue domestic terrorism charges against left-wing activists who target Tesla dealerships.

ā€˜Cyclone-battered high seas’ the ā€œlongest crazyā€: rescued rower feared he would die in Cyclone Alfred’s monster waves

Aurimas Mockus reunites with his wife Sonata Mockuviene

We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude.
The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones. 9T 11.1 – 9T 11.2

After walking down the gangway from the Australian navy ship that saved him, Lithuanian Aurimas Mockus fell to his knees in front of his wife, sobbing

Aurimas Mockus finally made it to Australia, but not in the manner he imagined.

Pacific Ocean as part of a solo mission

Instead of triumphantly paddling in on the Kursis, the one-seater boat he’d been rowing for nearly five months across the Pacific Ocean as part of a solo mission from San Diego to Brisbane, he arrived in Sydney Harbour, relieved and alive, onboard a 16,000 tonne Australian naval ship.

Had it not been for Tropical Cyclone Alfred, he likely would have completed the 12,000km journey, and joined just a handful of people to have rowed across the Pacific solo.

We are in the same boat ā›“ļø said Pope Francis

But Alfred, which was directly in the path of the Lithuanian rower, thwarted him. Monster seas hit the Kursis, causing it to roll over and over again and again. For three days, he could not rest or sleep as he battled giant waves, in a boat constantly filling with seawater and all communication with his support team lost.

Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.Jonah 1 : 17

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Matthew 12 : 40

ā€œI was like a cat in a washing machine,ā€ he told reporters at the HMAS Kuttabul naval base in Potts Point, just east of Sydney’s CBD, on Friday morning after disembarking from HMAS Choules and finally, after nearly five months at sea, touching dry

More seriously, he said, his voice breaking, he knows he was very close to death.

As his boat flipped again and again in giant seas, he focused his energy on keeping the promise to his wife and teenage children when he embarked on the journey last year: that he would return to them.

ā€œ[I was] rolling maybe 30 times, I’m not counting them, maybe more. Many times [I thought] may be last time,ā€ he said.

[29] Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day. [30] And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, [31] Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. [35] And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat. [36] Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat. [37] And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls. [38] And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.
Acts 27 : 29-31, 35-38

VHF radio, I have problems in my body

ā€œThese last three days in the ocean … I have to – many times, many hours – fight [for] my life, because … my boat is sinking; all navigation … stops, I just have VHF radio, I have problems in my body. I feel like, if I lost my mind, if I lost my belief [that] I can fight for my life, I [would not be here] together with you today.

[12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. [20] But now are they many members, yet but one body. [25] That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. [27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. [28] And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. [29] Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1 Corinthians 12 : 12, 20, 25, 27-29

And when we had launched from thence, we sailed under Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.Acts 27 : 4That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;Ephesians 4 : 14

Mockus’s wife, Sonata Mockuviene, was at the naval base in Sydney waiting to greet her husband, whom she had not seen since he set off from San Diego on the US west coast in mid-October. She flew in to Australia from Lithuania on Thursday.

ā€˜We were worried, it was too long’

After walking down the gangway from the ship, Mockus fell to his knees in front of his wife and, sobbing, buried his face in her stomach, as she hugged his head and kissed him.

Mockuviene said the rowing trip was not the craziest thing her husband had ever done, but it was the ā€œlongest crazyā€ he had attempted.

She was in almost daily contact with him throughout the journey, receiving a message or short phone call to hear that he was safe and well. But last week the communications stopped.

[28] The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots? [29] Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself, [30] Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colors, a prey of divers colors of needlework, of divers colors of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil? [31] So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
Judges 5 : 28-31

ā€œWhen he missed all the connections, we did not have any information, we were worried, it was too long … not getting the message from him,ā€ she said.

Souls dramatic rescue from cyclone-battered high seas

Then, at about 10pm on Friday 28 February, Mockus activated his emergency SOS beacon, transmitting a signal to a satellite that bounced to a 24/7 response centre in Canberra, and setting off a chain of action that would eventually lead to his dramatic rescue from cyclone-battered high seas by HMAS Choules.

[1] Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. [2] Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
Ecclesiastes 11 : 1-2

ā€œAs you can imagine, it’s no small task finding an object that small in the middle of our ocean,ā€ said Mark Morrow, the executive director of response for the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (Amsa), which coordinated the search for Mockus.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Luke 15 : 7

Adding to the difficulty was the cyclone, which was producing winds in excess of 130km/h and heavy seas in excess of nine metres.

ā€œNormally, we would be in a position where we could divert a vessel to assist us,ā€ said Kevin McEvoy, the Amsa response centre manager. But TC Alfred meant that there were no ships in the area. ā€œWe didn’t have that luxury.ā€

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:Acts 9 : 15, And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.Acts 16 : 9

Mockus was eventually spotted by a Challenger aircraft.

Amsa was able to make radio contact with Mockus, using a Lithuanian translator, whom Mockus thanked emotionally on Friday. The team made six flights over three days, maintaining contact with him.

Mockus’s voice broke as he recounted seeing the aircraft above him for the first time.

ā€œI thought I am not alone. But how he can help, I don’t know.ā€

HMAS Choules was deployed from Brisbane and Mockus was rescued on Monday.

Chosen vessel coming to his aid. ā€œJust love.ā€ One Earth One family One Future

ā€œI don’t have words for this,ā€ Mockus said, when asked how he felt to see the Royal Australian Navy vessel coming to his aid. ā€œJust love.ā€

Love is dwelt upon as the chief attribute of God, but it is degraded to a weak sentimentalism, making little distinction between good and evil. God’s justice, His denunciations of sin, the requirements of His holy law, are all kept out of sight. The people are taught to regard the Decalogue as a dead letter. Pleasing, bewitching fables captivate the senses and lead men to reject the Bible as the foundation of their faith. Christ is as verily denied as before; but Satan has so blinded the eyes of the people that the deception is not discerned. GC 558.1

Their journey back to Sydney was fraught.

HMAS Choules encountered 12-metre seas and was pitched on 28 degree rolls – or a 90ft roll from one side to the other – causing some damage to equipment onboard the ship, including sending hospital beds through bulkheads, though no one was injured.

Mockus said that after being brought aboard HMAS Choules and being checked by medical staff – he has some cuts and bruises from being thrown around in the savage conditions, but nothing serious or life-threatening – he was just focused on getting horizontal.

The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
Ezekiel 34 : 4

ā€œWhen I’m sinking, I’m thinking about a clear bed, because three, four days, I spent in the wet and rolling sea.ā€

Elation

An elated Darius Degutis, the Lithuanian ambassador to Australia, thanked the Australian government, defence force and people for the rescue.

ā€œIt’s a very special day, because we have Aurimas. We have a saying in Lithuanian language,Ā sveikas ir gyvas, healthy and alive. He is healthy and alive.ā€

Degutis read aloud a letter from the foreign minister of Lithuania thanking Australia for rescuing the rower.

ā€œLithuania is profoundly grateful to your unwavering commitment to saving lives and we will always remember this extraordinary act of solidarity and cooperation,ā€ the letter said.

For now, Mockus and his wife will spend some time in Australia before returning to their children in Lithuania.

Mockus said he had no regrets about the trip. But asked if he would be attempting it again, to see if he can complete the voyage, he laughed. ā€œNot yet,ā€ he said.

When Mockuviene was asked if she would approve of his husband trying again, she said it was out of her hands.

ā€œI cannot keep him … at the house. It’s impossible.ā€

Additional reporting by Daisy Dumas

While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierceĀ  tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. “The earth mourneth and fadeth away,” “the haughty people … do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:4, 5.
And then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing these evils. The class that have provoked the displeasure of Heaven will charge all their troubles upon those whose obedience to God’s commandments is a perpetual reproof to transgressors. It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced; and that those who present the claims of the fourth commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troublers of the people, preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity. Thus the accusation urged of old against the servant of God will be repeated and upon grounds equally well established: “And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.” 1 Kings 18:17, 18. As the wrath of the people shall be excited by false charges, they will pursue a course toward God’s ambassadors very similar to that which apostate Israel pursued toward Elijah. GC 589.3 – GC 590.1

Divorce Cause, Extravagant Weddings, Family Plan Breathing : President Erdoğan declares 2025 ‘Year of the Family’

by Daily Sabah Jan 14, 2025 12:36 pm

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who declared 2025 as the “Year of the Family,” presented a series of benefits for young couples about to marry and for parents during a meeting on Jan. 13 in Ankara.

One key initiative was the expansion of the interest-free loan program for newlywed couples. Initially introduced in the earthquake-affected regions, this program offers a TL150,000 ($4,226) loan with a 48-month repayment term and a two-year grace period. Erdoğan announced that it would now be available nationwide, benefiting young couples across all 81 provinces of Türkiye. He emphasized that this loan would help young couples avoid financial stress at the start of their married life. ā€œFrom now on, all young people in 81 provinces can benefit from this opportunity,ā€ Erdoğan said.

Erdoğan announced an increase in Birth Assistance payments, with TL 300 for the first child, TL 400 for the second and TL 600 for the third and subsequent children as a one-time payment. He emphasized that Türkiye was losing its young and qualified population, stating; “The average age of marriage has risen to 26 for women and 28 for men and the age for becoming a mother has surpassed 29. Back in 2007, we made a call for at least three children to address the decline in fertility and population growth rates. Looking back, we see how right we were. We will continue to repeat our call for three children.”

Another significant announcement was the increase in birth assistance. The government raised the one-time aid for the first child to TL 5,000. Additionally, for the second child, families will receive TL 1,500 per month and for the third child and beyond, the support increases to TL 5,000 per month. Erdoğan explained that the government would directly deposit these amounts into mothers’ accounts without conditions for the second and subsequent children. He highlighted the importance of supporting families as they grow. ā€œWe are raising the one-time birth assistance for the first child to TL 5,000. For the second child, we will provide TL 1,500 per month,ā€ he stated.

Beijing’s population has declined for the first time in 19 years

Erdoğan also introduced several new programs to address broader family-related issues. These include financial support, counseling services, and housing assistance for young couples. He also promised new opportunities to improve women’s work-life balance by promoting flexible and remote working models. Additionally, the government plans to strengthen child care services to support working parents and provide medical opportunities to help with childbearing.

ā€œWedding ceremonies are encouraged to be simple, without extravagance or waste, as advised by our Prophet,ā€

A major issue Erdoğan tackled was the rising cost of extravagant wedding ceremonies, which place financial pressure on young couples. He noted that societal expectations, fueled by social media, often lead to unnecessary financial burdens. ā€œWedding ceremonies are encouraged to be simple, without extravagance or waste, as advised by our Prophet,ā€ Erdoğan said. He also linked these pressures to rising divorce rates, noting that excessive financial demands were one of the main causes. ā€œOne of the main reasons for early divorces is these excessive financial demands,ā€ he added.

Display, Extravagance, and Hilarity Are Inappropriate At Weddings—Marriage ceremonies are made matters of display, extravagance, and self-indulgence. But if the contracting parties are agreed in religious belief and practice, and everything is consistent, and theĀ  ceremony be conducted without display and extravagance, marriage at this time need not be displeasing to God.6
There is no reason why we should make great parade or display, even if the parties were perfectly suited to each other. AH 100.5 – AH 101.1

Türkiye’s demographic challenges, particularly its declining fertility rate

Erdoğan also addressed Türkiye’s demographic challenges, particularly its declining fertility rate, which has fallen to 1.51, well below the replacement rate of 2.1. He warned that this could lead to a shrinking population and a reduced global influence. In response, Erdoğan acknowledged the criticism the government faced but expressed confidence that the public would eventually recognize the necessity of this policy.

The Guise of Family Planning : We Are Sold I and My People

Erdoğan concluded by reinforcing his belief that the issue of family and population growth is vital for the nation’s survival. ā€œOur Family Institute will carry out policy development activities regarding family, which we see as a ā€˜survival issue’ for our nation’s future,ā€ he affirmed. He also expressed concern over population control efforts carried out under the guise of planning, which he believes are driven by malicious intent. ā€œTime will confirm this belief,ā€ he said.

Additionally, Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ɩzdemir Gƶktaş presented Erdoğan with a special gift, a calligraphy painting symbolizing family unity, featuring a hadith that states, ā€œThe best among you is the one who is best to his family.ā€

“Isolated” breathing crisis on Friday : Pope ‘resurrects’ after breathing crisis, Vatican says

The final overthrow of all earthly dominions is plainly foretold in the word of truth. In the prophecy uttered when sentence from God was pronounced upon the last king of Israel is given the message:
“Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: … exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until He come whose right it is; and I will give it Him.” Ezekiel 21:26, 27.
The crown removed from Israel passed successively to the kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. God says, “It shall be no more, until He come whose right it is; and I will give it Him.”
That time is at hand. Today the signs of the times declare that we are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Everything in our world is in agitation. Before our eyes is fulfilling the Saviour’s prophecy of the events to precede His coming: “Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars…. Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Matthew 24:6, 7.
The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living. Rulers and statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us. They are watching the strained, restless relations that exist among the nations. They observe the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element, and they recognize that something great and decisive is about to take place—that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis. LONDON (AP) — BritishĀ Prime Minister Keir StarmerĀ rallied his European counterparts Sunday to shore up their borders and throw their full weight behind Ukraine as he announced outlines of a plan to end Russia’s war.

Pope At Angelus : Families, sit around the Jezebel’s table and talk

ā€œEvery nation must contribute to that in the best way that it can, bringing different capabilities and support to the table, but all taking responsibility to act, all stepping up their own share of the burden,” he said.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.Revelation 18 : 3, Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.1 Kings 18 : 19

Starmer’s exhortation to 18 fellow leaders that they need to do the heavy lifting for their own security comes two days after U.S. backing of Ukraine appeared in jeopardy whenĀ President Donald Trump lashed outĀ at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and saidĀ he wasn’t grateful enough for America’s support.

The meeting had been overshadowed by the extraordinary scolding that took place on live television at the White House. Starmer used the opportunity as part of his broader effort to bridge the gap between Europe and the U.S. and also salvage what had seemed like the start of a peace process before Friday’s spat.

Starmer said he had worked with France and Ukraine on a plan to end the war and that the group of leaders — mostly from Europe — had agreed on four things.

The steps toward peace would: keep aid flowing to Kyiv and maintain economic pressure on Russia to strengthen Ukraine’s hand; make sure Ukraine is at the bargaining table and any peace deal must ensure its sovereignty and security; and continue to arm Ukraine to deter future invasion.

Pope Francis Family ā€˜coalition of the willing’ Army

Pope Francis said war in Ukraine is a Negation of His Dream for suffocated earth

Finally, Starmer said they would develop a ā€œcoalition of the willingā€ to defend Ukraine and guarantee the peace.

ā€œNot every nation will feel able to contribute but that can’t mean that we sit back,” he said. ā€œInstead, those willing will intensify planning now with real urgency. The U.K. is prepared to back this with boots on the ground and planes in the air, together with others.ā€

It is far from certain whether Russian President Vladimir Putin will accept any such plan, which Starmer said would require strong U.S. backing. He did not specify what that meant, though he told the BBC before the summit that there were ā€œintense discussionsā€ to get a security guarantee from the U.S.

Temporary pause and then Putin comes again

ā€œIf there is to be a deal, if there is to be a stopping of the fighting, then that agreement has to be defended, because the worst of all outcomes is that there is a temporary pause and then Putin comes again,ā€ Starmer said.

Starmer said he will later bring a more formal plan to the U.S. and work with Trump.

Before arriving in London, French president Emmanuel Macron suggested in an interview with a French newspaper that he and Starmer are proposing a ā€œtruce in the air, on the seas and energy infrastructuresā€ that would last a month.

There would be no European troops in the coming weeks and troops would only be deployed on the ground at a later stage, he said.

The question, Macron said, is ā€œhow we use this time to try and get an accessible truce, with negotiations that will take several weeks and then, once peace is signed, a deployment.ā€

Two diplomatic steps forward, one back

Europe has been anxious since Trump initiated direct peace talks with Putin, who had been isolated by most Western leaders since invading Ukraine three years ago. TheĀ scramble to remain relevantĀ and protect European interests as their once stalwart ally appeared to be cozying up to Putin was even more troubling when TrumpĀ called Zelenskyy a dictatorĀ and falsely said Ukraine started the war.

Meetings last week had provided some hope — until Zelenskyy’s trip to the White House on Friday.

Starmer and Macron entice Trump to a Catastrophic ā€œturning point,”

Visits to the Oval Office by Starmer and Macron, who had declared his visit a ā€œturning point,” were seen as steps in the right direction. The meetings were cordial and Trump even took a gentler tone toward Ukraine, though he would not commit to providing U.S. security guarantees and maintained that Europe would need to provide peacekeeping troops.

And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.
Judges 16 : 10

Within 12 hours of Starmer’s return from Washington, the talk of peace seemed to collapse as Trump and Vice President JD Vance berated Zelenskyy for challenging Trump’s assertions that Putin could be trusted.

During his Sunday press conference, Starmer rejected the suggestion that the U.S. was no longer a reliable ally.

ā€œThere are no two countries as closely aligned as our two countries and our defense, our security and intelligence is intertwined in a way no two other countries are, so it’s an important and reliable ally for us,ā€ he said.

Starmer does not trust Putin

Starmer told the BBC before the summit that he does not trust Russian President Vladimir Putin but does trust Trump.

Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni said she was sorry for what happened with Zelenskyy in Washington. Meloni is both a strong Ukraine supporter and — as head of a far-right party — she is a natural ally of Trump. She was the only European leader to attend his inauguration.

She said told reporters following the meeting that Europe must remain focused on its common goals and that ā€œdividing the West would be disastrous for everyone.ā€

America First Prepares The Way :Reinforce our unity, and I think that Italy can play a role

ā€œWe need to work to reinforce our unity, and I think that Italy can play a role, not just in its own interest, but in everyone’s,” she said. ā€œI don’t want to take any other scenario into consideration.ā€

Starmer hosted the meeting at Lancaster House, a 200-year-old mansion near Buckingham Palace, following his charm offensive with Macron to persuade Trump to put Ukraine at the center of negotiations and tilt his allegiances toward Europe.

Leaders from Germany, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Romania were at the summit. The Turkish foreign minister, the NATO secretary-general and the presidents of the European Commission and European Council were also in attendance.

Turning Ukraine into a ā€˜steel porcupine’

Starmer used sweeping terms to describe the challenge ahead, saying Europe was at a crossroads in its history and needed to step up to meet ā€œonce in a generation moment.ā€

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen emerged from the meeting and said she would present a plan to ā€œrearm Europeā€ to bolster the bloc’s security after a long period of underinvestment.

As for the future of war-torn Ukraine, von der Leyen said it needs security guarantees.

ā€œWe have to put Ukraine in a position of strength so that it has the means to fortify itself and to protect itself,ā€ von der Leyen said. ā€œIt’s basically turning Ukraine into a steel porcupine that is indigestible for potential invaders.ā€

Last week, StarmerĀ pledged to boost military spendingĀ to 2.5% of gross domestic product by 2027. Other European nations may follow suit.

And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
Revelation 18 : 11

Starmer pledged to supply more arms to defend Ukraine, announcing that the U.K. will use 1.6 billion pounds ($2 billion) in export financing to supply 5,000 air defense missiles.

When the Virginia legislature amended the state’s blue law in 1973, its second update in just two years, it received a curt and pointed response in the form of a letter from a woman in Northern Virginia.

ā€œSirs, you must be a bunch of nincompoops,ā€ it read, as quoted in an April 1, 1973, article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

The 1973 update to the state’s blue law brought to a boil the long-simmering issue of whether to allow local retailers to sell items on Sunday by reinstating criminal penalties for violations — a penalty that had been eliminated just the prior year.

A clipping from the March 29, 1973, Times-Dispatch shows Dan Rogers, manager of Virginia Drug Co. in Richmond, with a cheeky sign protesting the then-new amendments to the state’s blue law. Rogers said the law is ā€œchildish and should be abolished.ā€Times-Dispatch archives

Blue laws, prohibiting sales on Sunday, had existed in Virginia for two centuries, an observation of the Fourth Commandment: to keep the Sabbath day holy. It prohibited the sale of everything from food to clothing.

The law was amended in 1961 when the General Assembly updated the language to say that sales may be permitted ā€œwhen it may be considered necessary.ā€ It also held that sales on Sunday would be allowed if profits were donated to charity.

Determining what was ā€œconsidered necessaryā€ over the next 12 years proved complicated, however, and in an attempt to compromise over what then-Del. Russell M. Carneal referred to as a ā€œridiculous law,ā€ Virginia’s legislature amended it in 1972 by imposing civil violations for penalties, rather than criminal ones — a $25 fine for each offense. The amendment also exempted employees from punishment, directing enforcement specifically to proprietors.

Still, the 1972 update did nothing to clarify which items were ā€œnecessary,ā€ leaving commonwealth’s attorneys statewide uncertain of how to enforce it.

ā€œWe’d need a staff of 50,000 people to get the right information,ā€ said Petersburg Commonwealth’s Attorney James F. D’Alton.

After the 1972 change in the law, Safeway began opening seven of its stores in the Richmond area on Sundays, which in turn inspired a pastor of Third Presbyterian Church, the Rev. W. Arnold Pate, to denounce the supermarket chain’s defiance of the Sunday law in a sermon titled ā€œThe Lord’s Name is Being Torn Down.ā€

As some stores felt more liberated to sell as they pleased with softer punishments for doing so, certain localities’ top enforcers took initiative to make examples of those that continued to break the law. Hampton Commonwealth’s Attorney Lloyd H. Hansen told The Times-Dispatch on Dec. 12, 1972, that he had intended to file suit against 200 retailers.

With parties on either side of the blue law divide unsatisfied with its previous update, Virginia lawmakers passed a bill in February 1973 making new changes. In addition to reimposing misdemeanor criminal penalties, it eliminated the charity-exception provision while allowing the unrestricted sale of food throughout the state.

It didn’t, however, address the original source of confusion: What was considered necessary?

ā€œLeft untouched, however, were ā€˜items of necessity,’ including food, ice, the emergency repair of automobiles, boats and aircrafts, and the sale of tickets for movies and sporting events,ā€ reads a June 12, 1973, article in The Times-Dispatch.

The result of the 1973 blue law amendments was both an increase in Sunday retail openings as well as an increase in law enforcement crackdown on those very stores.

Within two months, a Williamsburg judge invalidated the law, ruling that it was unconstitutional. Yet enforcement continued in various localities, including when managers of five Roanoke stores were indicted in October and when five people were arrested on blue-law violation charges in Lynchburg in December.

More legal challenges against the law mounted over time. In August, Circuit Court Judge Henry D. Garnett threw out a case against a business in Newport News that had been found guilty of Sunday sales, declaring the law ā€œunconstitutional, arbitrary, vague and discriminatory.ā€

As the Christmas shopping season was in full swing,Ā Commonwealth’s Attorney Aubrey M. DavisĀ had warned Richmond retailers that they should expect visits from the police. And they did. On Dec. 10, the commonwealth’s attorney filed charges against six stores in Richmond, including Carousel, K-Mart and U-Tote’m.

With enforcement continuing throughout 1973, residents of the state and city grew increasingly more vocal about their displeasure, many of them penning letters to The Times-Dispatch to register their complaints. One such epistolarian, Richmond’s Stewart Whitlow, suggested in a Dec. 18 letter that city officials ā€œshould spend more time arresting and prosecuting the criminals that plague our streets rather than wasting time on an obsolete and unconstitutional blue law.ā€

Citizens had a chance to decide for themselves once and for all whether the law should be enforced in the 1974 midterm election, with 27 out of 53 localities voting to repeal it. Richmond did not participate in the election because of an injunction that year barring local elections until litigation over its 1970 annexation of part of Chesterfield County had been settled.

Chesterfield itself voted to repeal and, upon adoption by the Board of Supervisors, lifted the Sunday prohibition. Henrico County, however, voted to keep the law.

In 1988, the Virginia Supreme Court finally declared the state’s blue law unconstitutional, ending more than 200 years of Sunday store closures.

“Isolated” breathing crisis on Friday : Pope ‘resurrects’ after breathing crisis, Vatican says

Pope Francis, who has been battling pneumonia for two weeks, is in a stable condition following an “isolated” breathing crisis on Friday, the Vatican has said.

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.Psalm 18 : 4, And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.Revelation 17 : 15

The 88-year-old experienced an episode of vomiting and a “sudden worsening of his respiratory condition” in hospital last night, and received gas through a face mask to help him breathe.

UN chief Antonio Guterres human rights Globally are being ā€œsuffocatedā€ : 7,000 killed since January in fighting in DRC, prime minister says

The Vatican said on Saturday evening that the Pope had not suffered further breathing crises and had responded well to oxygen therapy.

It did not share a prognosis, but said the pontiff remained “alert and well oriented“.

The Pope’s Prayer To His “Poor” Disciples From Six Continents_ Laudato Si For “Death”

In a statement, the Vatican said the Pope received the Eucharist this afternoon “then dedicated himself to prayer“.

He alternated between an oxygen mask and “long periods of high-flow oxygen,” it added.

It said the Pope did not show signs of an increased white blood cell count, which can indicate infection or inflammation, and that his blood flow and circulation “remained stable”.

The Pope also continued to eat and actively cooperated with regular “respiratory physiotherapy,” it said.

Earlier, the Vatican said the Pope had a “peaceful night” and was resting, with an official adding: “I think he had coffee this morning.”

Vatican sources had said the Pope’s doctors needed 24 to 48 hours to determine whether there had been any damage or setback to his overall condition.

In an earlier statement on Friday evening, the Vatican said the Pope had “an isolated crisis of bronchospasm which, however, led to an episode of vomiting with inhalation and sudden worsening of the respiratory condition”.

[15] He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly. [16] He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him. [17] He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.Job 20 : 15-17

That health update came after a couple of days in which Vatican statements had been slightly more positive, talking of a “slight improvement” in the pontiff’s condition.

He was given Communion on Friday morning.

In an earlier medical update, the Vatican stressed that the Pope would remain in Rome’s Gemelli Hospital because of the “complex” clinical picture.

The level of detail from Vatican officials about the Pope’s latest crisis is extraordinary.

This is now the longest the Pope has been in hospital – and the longest period in which he’s been out of public sight – since he took over from Pope Benedict in 2013.

That makes many Roman Catholics nervous.

Dreamer Pope Francis Calls 100 Days of War in Ukraine “A Negation of His Dream “

Previously, Italian TV channels were reporting that the Pope was “no longer critical”, as that word disappeared from Vatican health updates recently and the Pope’s health slipped down the news agenda.

Now it’s back on the front pages, although news of the Ukrainian president’s brutal dressing down in the Oval Office was the biggest story.

Another crisis, Anxiety for the Pope” wasIl Messaggero’s headline, which also speaks of “prayers and tears” among Catholics gathered for evening prayers outside St Peter’s Basilica.

Vomit and breathing crisis: Anxiety for the Pope returns” was the headline in Il Giornale.

The Pope was admitted to hospital on 14 February after experiencing breathing difficulties for several days.

He was first treated for bronchitis before being diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.

The pontiff is particularly susceptible to pneumonia, an infection of the lungs that can be caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi, after he contracted pleurisy – an inflammation of the lungs – as a young man and had a partial lung removal.

From Argentina, Pope Francis is the first Latin American, and first Jesuit, to lead the Roman Catholic Church.

The leader of the Roman Catholic Church has been admitted to hospital multiple times during his 12-year tenure, including being treated for bronchitis at the same hospital in March 2023.

Rwanda not afraid of ‘being diplomatically isolated, sanctions,’ Olivier Nduhungirehe says amid critics against Rwanda’s alleged support for rebel groups in eastern Congo

'UN is not the Bible,' Rwanda to contest its reports: Foreign minister

ANKARA

“The UN is not the Bible,ā€ and Rwanda will contest its reports, the foreign minister has said over the country’s alleged support to M23 rebels fighting in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

ā€œWe contested those reports several times. It is not the Bible when the UN says something, the UN is not the Bible.

We contested those reports, and we have been protecting ourselves for 30 years now since the threat has persisted since the genocide against the Tutsi,ā€ Olivier Nduhungirehe told the Swiss broadcaster RTS on Tuesday.

UN chief Antonio Guterres human rights Globally are being ā€œsuffocatedā€ : 7,000 killed since January in fighting in DRC, prime minister says

The Rwandan minister criticized Congo for trying to topple the government in his country, and blamed President Felix Tshisekedi for forming an international coalition of Burundi, Southern Africa soldiers, and ā€œeven European mercenaries.ā€

ā€œWe do not fear being diplomatically isolated, we do not fear sanctions. What we would fear is to leave our country and our population defenseless,ā€ he added.

He further said the M23 rebel groups were from a Congolese community of Rwandan culture ā€œdue to the colonial history,ā€ and denied having any Rwandan troops in the region.

The Houthis did not officially announce a delegation was attending the funeral, but the Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV reported a delegation from Yemen would participate. ā€œWe affirm that the movement of these terrorist leaders… in this timing is not a mere participation in the funeral, which is being used as a cover, to gather all the leaders of the Iranian axis and assess the situation after the blows they received,ā€ he added.

Nduhungirehe also announced that foreign ministers of the concerned countries will meet soon to elaborate on a roadmap for resuming the talks between M23 and the Congolese government.

The UK announced punitive measures for Rwanda for its alleged support for M23, including suspending direct financial aid and stopping high-level attendance at events hosted by Rwanda’s government, as well as suspending defense cooperation.

Last week, the US also announced economic sanctions against Rwanda’s Minister of State for Regional Integration, James Kabarebe, a former army commander, saying he was central to his country’s support for the M23 rebels.

The EU last week summoned the ambassador of Rwanda, and the bloc’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said the EU urged Rwanda to withdraw its troops from eastern Congo, suspended the defense consultations, and decided to review the memorandum of understanding on critical raw materials.

The M23 group has intensified its territorial control in eastern Congo since December, seizing the provincial capitals of Goma and Bukavu.

Fighting in the eastern Congo has led to the deaths of more than 7,000 people this year, Congo’s Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka told the UN Human Rights Council on Monday.Anadolu Agency website contains only a portion of the news stories offered to subscribers in the AA News Broadcasting System (HAS), and in summarized form. Please contact us for subscription options.

An asteroid big enough to destroy a city is now much less likely to collide with Earth in 2032, according to the latest NASA data.

2032 Coming ā€˜Stone’ : Merchant Elon Musk Calls for ā€˜Destroying the Space Station’ as Soon as Possible_Pope Words in Space!

In recent weeks, NASA had been steadily increasing the likelihood of a strike from asteroid 2024 YR4, with the odds peaking on Tuesday (Feb. 18) at 1 in 32, or a 3.1% chance. However, on Wednesday (Feb. 19), the space agency more than halved the chances to 1.5%.

My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:
Proverbs 24 : 21

The odds are likely to change again as astronomers learn more about YR4’s trajectory, but they expect the likelihood to end up at 0% once the space rock’s trajectory is confirmed.

YR4 has an estimated diameter of around 180 feet (55 meters) — that estimate has been fluctuating a bit, but the asteroid is about as wide as the leaning tower of Pisa is tall. YR4 has the potential to release around 8 megatons of energy in the event of a strike — upwards of 500 times more energy than the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima in Japan. This means it’s big enough to wipe out a major city but too small to end human civilization.

There’s a tiny chance that YR4 will hit the moon instead of Earth, but it will almost certainly sail harmlessly past both when it makes its closest approach to Earth in 2032.

The Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) telescope in Chile recorded asteroid 2024 YR4 on Dec. 27, 2024, according to the NASA Center for Near Earth Object Studies. By January, scientists had determined that YR4 had a more than 1% chance of hitting Earth and thus warranted further attention from scientists.

With odds above 1%, YR4 also reached level 3 on the Torino Impact Hazard Scale. The scale enables scientists to categorize the risk posed by space rocks. Level 3 is reserved for asteroids and comets capable of localized destruction, but that are expected to be later reassigned to level 0 — meaning they pose no threat — once astronomers confirm they won’t hit Earth.

An international team of scientists has been granted emergency use of the James Webb Space Telescope, humanity’s most powerful space telescope, to further assess YR4’s risk. As more observations come in over the next few months, astronomers should become more confident that YR4 poses no threat to Earth, and we will see the threat level drop to zero.

Merchants of The East

To SpaceX CEO and unelected White House advisor Elon Musk, the planned deorbiting of the International Space Station can’t come soon enough.

Who is Responsible for Theological Drift? Netanyahu, Pope or West? “It is time to begin Preparations for Deorbiting the space station,”

“It is time to begin preparations for deorbiting the space station,” heĀ tweeted today. “It has served its purpose. There is very little incremental utility.”

“Let’s go to Mars Hill

Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.Acts 17 : 22, [4] And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. [5] And the LORD came down to see the city (Rock/Asteroid 2032) and the tower, which the children of men builded. Genesis 11 : 4-5

Musk also reiterated hisĀ desireĀ toĀ abandonĀ current plans to visit the surface of the Moon, adding “let’s go to Mars.”

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Revelation 14 : 6

NASA  with Musk’s SpaceX to pull the aging orbital lab šŸ”¬ out of its orbit starting in 2030

Confusingly, NASA is already working with Musk’s SpaceX toĀ develop a “US Deorbit Vehicle” designed to pull the aging orbital lab out of its orbit starting in 2030. The agency announced it had selected the company in June.

[1] Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat. [13] Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?1 Kings 1 : 1, 13, Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.Romans 6 : 12, Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.Luke 17 : 21

Is Musk aimlessly trying to make more enemies within NASA’s ranks — or are his commentsĀ yet another smoke screenĀ as he spreads chaos throughout the government?

Pope Satellite šŸ›°ļø Satellite šŸ“” Launches Non-violent Laudato Si Sabbath Gospel unto Space To Beat Climate Change!

WhenĀ Ars Technica‘s Eric BergerĀ askedĀ Musk if he was “supposed ggesting that the ISS be deorbited prior to 2030,” Musk stopped short of offering any concrete plans,Ā arguingĀ that “the decision is up to the President, but my recommendation is as soon as possible.”

“I recommend 2 years from now,” he added.

It’s a baffling new development, considering that plans for the station’s destruction were already well underway.

Musk also appears to be throwing the entire scientific community under the bus by arguing that there’s “little incremental utility.”

Despite itsĀ old age — the cracks areĀ literally starting to show — the ISS has served and still serves an extremely important function, allowing scientists to conduct important experiments in microgravity, including the feasibility of humanity embarking on long journeys through outer space.

Merchants of Babylon Prepares For US A Home!

For one, that’s research that aligns extremely closely with Musk’s goals of delivering humans to Mars.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.2 Timothy 4 : 18
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:Galatians 1 : 4
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;2 Corinthians 1 : 10

NASA also doesn’t have another space station lined up, except for several private partnerships that may or may not result in the launch of privately owned orbital labs before the end of the decade.

Musk’s latest tweet also highlights a growing deviation between NASA’s current priorities and his own. Musk’s space company holds tens of billions of dollars worth of government contracts, evidence of his naked conflict of interest as the boss — or whatever he is ā€” of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, which is currently making brutal cuts to federal spending.
